Congratulations to one of our local Toronto retail clients! With our assistance and direction, this young entrepreneur restructured a sizable portion of current debt, reduced total debt by $30,000 through negotiations, reduced overhead to profitable levels and developed a short-term marketing strategy that has doubled the new-client adoption rate and has increased repeat client visits by more than 20%!

Congratulations to one of our Waterloo commercial and residential design clients! With our direction and coaching, this established firm has gone through one of the worst down-turns that they have ever seen. Situation: A $1,000,000 construction and design firm that’s overexposed to one large client finds himself heavily dependant on that client. As the client loses significant market shares to its competitors, the construction firm received delays, project cancellations, and other cancelled contracts previously agreed on. Long in short, the construction and design firm was in a significant cash crunch position.
What we did: We helped them review their current strategy, reduce their current overhead to position themselves to recovery, outline the plan to deal with their creditors, help them develop proposals, arrange short-term financing on a P.O. level, and help them refocus their work force through:

- reinforce sales structure/process
- reengage the business owner
- identify and confirm sources for business growth

Project: Sales Effectiveness
Situation: A privately held consulting firm discovered that they were very effective at getting into potential clients and was very effective at extending and up-selling projects with existing clients, but was ineffective at building relationships and getting projects out of new clients.
What we did: We developed a sales process that bridged the gap from making a contact to turning them into a long-term client by providing sales coaching to their head salesperson.

Project: Turnaround

Situation: An owner of a vending company had received start-up financing, but subsequently found that they were having trouble with their suppliers and at the same time did not get the immediate sales results they were expecting in their key location.
What we did: Starting with a business review, we helped them clearly identify the financial break-even for each location, and helped them outline several marketing campaigns that had the instantaneous results of tripling their average daily sales immediately.
Outcome: Tripled their average daily sales with the creation of effective marketing campaigns.

Project: Phase 0

Situation: Residential and commercial dry cleaner was in a situation where their company has not been profitable for several years, the owner found himself working 80 hrs a week and both him and his wife are not drawing any salaries from the business.
What we did: Outlined a short term plan to:
1) look at strategic pricing (i.e. determine which products can be easily increased in price without market backlash)
2) adjust staffing levels and staffing arrangements
3) improved accountability via the management system
Outcome: Plan is already in place, just waiting to find out what happens.
